All good things must come to an end, and that saying applies to OverBlogging as well.

It’s been a great, long run but it’s time to end this. It is clear to me that people are losing interest and that nothing new is happening. There’s only so much that can be done in one RP and a lot has happened in the last year. You’ve all been part of the longest running, most successful South Park RP in fandom that I’m aware of, and that’s a great thing.

But it’s time to end it. Sorry to those who are still interested in continuing this, and sorry to the couple of newcomers who came in as things were dying down.

For future reference, here, again, is the list of every log posted over the course of the RP: http://over-blogging.livejournal.com/137414.html. Obviously there’s no way to archive Tumblr activity or private LJ entries, but logs should be good for nostalgia reading if anyone cares to do it.

I’m leaving the option open, for anyone who would like to participate, to do a 10 year class reunion future log later tonight (Monday) at about 9:00 EST. If no one shows up, no one shows up. If only a few do, we can figure something else out for a future log to serve as a sort of epilogue. Characters bumping into each other or whatever. People are welcome to bring back characters they played previously for this, if they’d like.

How you heard about this RP (if you are a current player, say who your other character is): I ate this RP for breakfast and then I spit it back up and made dinner out of it. So I actually eat it twice a day.

Describe your characters personality:

Randy is pretty much the coolest dad in town and he knows it. He’s always looking for new ways to show the kids how hip he is. He’s laid-back and friendly but can get an attitude if someone makes fun of him. By an attitude I mean he pouts and whines and makes childish comments. He doesn’t understand sarcasm very well, especially when it’s spoken by Stan.

He’s selfish and tends to be very melodramatic when he doesn’t get his way.

His favorite pasttime is beer drinking and it’s pretty well-known throughout the town. He’s gotten several DUIs over the years and his shirts are starting to get tight on him as his beer belly gets bigger and he gets older. He’s not the spring chicken who got catcalled by the ladies in the 80’s. He’s generally a happy drunk but if you piss him off he won’t hesitate to start a fight.

He is in a bit of a mid-life crisis at the moment. Shelly is off at school and all grown up and Stan is graduating this spring. He’s grown to realize how important they are and makes sure to always tell them he loves them when they talk. Since his third divorce from Sharon this past October, the house is empty and lonely. He’s replaced his children with two cats, Thomas and George. He obsesses over them and even cooks special meals for them. He misses Sharon and still keeps in contact with her, asking her every other week or so if she’s considering coming back to him.

He’s pretty depressed now but is easily amused so he spends a lot of time on the internet. He doesn’t find it at all creepy that he’s following a bunch of teenagers on Tumblr.

Background information (especially important for minor characters):

Randy graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a PhD in Geology. He now works for the United States Geological Survey and has been for the past 20 years or so. He’s very intelligent in the ways of science, even having won a Nobel Prize for his theory on moderation.

In 1983 he was in a boy band but it only lasted a year. He never stopped playing the guitar or singing though, and started a few bands with his buddies over the years. Randy takes any chance he can to sing to the kids because he knows how good he is and how much they love seeing him play.

He is very liberal and thinks Obama is just fantastic. He drives a Prius and buys organic cat food and scoffs at people who voted for Bush, saying that they’re all a bunch of brainwashed Republicans who should go live in Texas. Despite this, he is still good friends with his half-brother Jimbo.

His father died last summer and a few months later Sharon divorced him. He’s slept with a few people since then, one of them being Lola but he still wants Sharon back. He had superpowers for a week—his was that middle-aged women found him irresistable. When he realized this, he of course took the opportunity to get with Sharon and they had wild sex all week. It was pretty awesome.

Describe your characters personality: (SINCE I DIDN’T SAVE IT I AM STARTING OVER AGAIN GDI)

Dogpoo is generally a very quiet individual, though he is prone to hysterics if something goes wrong. He is loyal, friendly, and trustworthy but he isn’t the most interesting cracker in the box. He loves his friends and is very hurt when they don’t include him in things. He even gets a little angry at times, but even then, he knows he is a prop and wouldn’t really have much to say. He’s always a good person to have at a party if you need more people but don’t want to actually talk to him.

He loves social situations—just being there and being part of a group. In fact, he doesn’t like to be alone at all.

As far as pop culture goes, he isn’t really aware of a lot. He doesn’t watch much TV but when he does he likes Lost. He thinks The Office is brilliant television comedy even though he doesn’t understand all the jokes. He has a soft spot for Katy Perry ((Randy shout out, I had to do it)) and still thinks Pokemon is cool.

He may have been dropped on his head as a child. And sometimes he thinks he should have been born a dog. Maybe a sheepdog.

Background information:

Dogpoo grew up poor. Instead of spending money on things he needed, like new clothes, his parents spent it on lavish furniture. It was said that his mother prostituted herself for furniture, but that was most likely a rumour.

He was not allowed on that creamy white couch because he was always playing in the mud, but he didn’t mind so much and got used to spending most of his time outside. He did have a bedroom but he grew to prefer the doghouse. Since no one will hang out with him out there until he falls asleep, he’s a sad puppy at night. Even the dog, Farfel, ignores him. But he’s an old pooch.

Dogpoo looks up to Kyle Broflovski verymuch. That night in Sizzler’s when he was sexually assaulted by Snooki, Kyle saved the day. Without him, he thinks that he might have been raped by it.

He’s never been in a relationship because all the girls (and guys) thought he was too gross. One day he came to school after falling asleep in dog shit and everyone noticed! From that day forth, he was known as Dogpoo. People don’t seem to call him by his real name that often.

How you heard about this RP: Ahhh, I play Kyle haha. Couldn’t stick to one character for very long.

Describe your characters personality:
Dylan is an introvert and a follower, and has been since he was a young child. His closest friends know him to be cynical and pessimistic, and kind of an asshole, but they don’t mind, since he tends to make friends with even bigger assholes who are even more cynical and pessimistic than he is. He likes to believe he is a special snowflake, and hates on anyone trying to be Goth since “he did it before it was cool”. To him there are three kinds of people: dumb conformist assholes, dumb conformist assholes who are purposefully invading Goth territory because they think it’s cool, and him and his friends. He has toyed with the idea that life isn’t totally meaningless, but whenever he has even a glimmer of optimism in his heart he is normally met with disappointment, and as a result becomes more cynical and more determined to spread misery. He tends to be elitist and judgmental of anyone who isn’t in his immediate social circle (and sometimes is still judgmental of them, too).

Background information:
Dylan comes from a small, religious family that lacked the emotional support, sense of familial togetherness, and fostering of creativity that is so abundant in Henrietta’s household. Despite claiming to hate all authority figures and parents as much as the next Goth, he’s always been intrigued by and jealous of the parental support and encouragement Henrietta finds annoying. His parents fought constantly but never separated, and spent more time paying attention to each others’ flaws than anything Dylan ever did, no matter how much he acted out and blatantly disregarded their rules. Even failing a grade and getting held back didn’t get him the attention he wanted. It wasn’t until his parents discovered his journal, which contained poetry relating to death and struggling with possible bisexuality that they paid attention – and it wasn’t what he was expecting at all. They sent him to reform school, where he stayed for several months before just saying ‘fuck it’ and going back to South Park. He does not live with his parents, obviously.

He’s since bounced back and forth between Henrietta and Evan’s places of residence, while half-assedly trying to find a new job after quitting the coffee shop over awkwardness with Red (though he’s far too “cool” for most options so he’s sort of setting himself up for poverty). He has aspirations of becoming a fashion designer, but although he is quite talented he does not have the grades or ambition necessary to get into any good art schools. He knows this, and it bothers him greatly, but he tells people he’s too nonconformist for college so that’s why he isn’t going.

As far as relationships go, his best friend has always been and still is Henrietta. He is also close to Evan, who he has always looked up to for being particularly good at not giving a shit. He has yet to understand the appeal of Evan’s boyfriend, but doesn’t say anything about it to Evan if he can help it. He had a somewhat brief but emotionally involved relationship with Red Tucker, which ended when she went back to her ex-FWB, Clyde, who Dylan now sees as the embodiment of all that is wrong with the world. He resents Red for their break up, but in a way he’s grateful for tangible proof that life is pain and love is dead. Now no one can ever say he doesn’t know true pain. Since clearly nothing is worse than the death of a high school romance.

I’m coming back to this faggy website. Evan can’t be the only person posting shit that’s actually cool. No one should carry the burden of spreading the truth to the huddled masses alone. Besides, Hen’s still on here and it’s boring watching her fuck around on Tumblr and wanting to comment on people’s freaking pathetic lives but being unable to. So here I am, deal with it.

Describe character’s personality:

Damien’s a young man who is usually very calm-headed and has a great poker-face. He’s very intelligent and attended a military school for his middle school career (I’m getting that off of the movie?) While he tries to be as refined and professional as he can appear to be, he’d have no problem hurting anyone if he thought it to be necessary. He’s very well read on the Christian religion and knows the bible as well as he knows the back of his hand. He has a real connection with dogs (he loves them, and they love him), but most other animals hate him. He’s bitter and a bit cocky, but he’s not terrible company, and can actually be very playful and friendly. He also loves playing football & hockey, and smokes.

Background information:

(I’m mashing The Omen trilogy [which, of course, is where he’s from] with what was seen in his only appearance back in season one, I hope that’s okay)

He was born from a jackal in Rome on the sixth day of the sixth month at the sixth hour. When a politician and his wife had birthed a stillborn baby boy, the father took him under the hospital’s recommendation, and never told his wife. Unfortunately, when Damien turned five, Damien received a new nanny who was sent to work as a guardian so he could grow to become evil, they were all killed, just as they found out what he is. (ok this is when I tried to mash it together) After they passed away, Damien’s nanny took him to Hell. When he turned 8, he came up to South Park (cue “Damien”). (End “Damien”) When he left, he went to live with his uncle and his second wife. They, too, passed away, and Damien went back to Hell, until he was old enough to decide to return to South Park with his Nanny from when he was five.

Since the new season is upon us, it is obviously that time again for deciding whether or not each new episode should or can be kept canon to the RP.

Obviously ‘Reverse Cowgirl’ is NOT going to be considered RP canon. Clyde’s mother has been mentioned numerous times as a living person and has made appearances in logs, so to fit this episode into RP canon would take too much retconning.

That means that this episode gets tossed into the ‘ignore’ pile along with Humancentipad. Soooo make sure not to make fun of Clyde for being momless. :P

Full name of character: Rebecca ‘Red’ Tucker

How you heard about this RP: I’m Lo and becca duh.

Describe your characters personality: Red tries to mind her own business and not get involved in other peoples lives, living in South Park doesn’t always allow this to happen though. She’s fiercely loyal to her friends, often supporting them no matter what stupid things they do. She’s very forgiving. The only people she’s not so forgiving to is Clyde and Craig, but she’s trying. That’s the important thing here. She was on the cheerleading squad with Bebe and the other girls and was actually quite happy being part of it.

Red tries to lift people’s spirits, even if she’s feeling like crap herself. She’s recently had a child (who holy shit is almost a year old you guys) and pulled herself away from everyone else, just attending school, going to work and then going home to focus on schoolwork and taking care of her child.

 Background information: Red’s related to Craig and she doesn’t try to deny it anymore. It’s not so bad being part of his family, in fact sometimes it even has it’s perks. Though growing up in the Tucker household did have it’s moments of your typical dysfunctional family, Red wasn’t too effected by most of it. For the most part to everyone, she was your typical teenager who was a cheerleader and popular.

Red does have her bad days, which is why she hooked up with Kenny and well the ending result was a baby. Kenny’s been quite adament on being part of the child’s life, which Red has no problems with. Red does get testy sometimes, but really what pregnant woman doesn’t? She eventually apologizes and tries to make things right. She’s got a few supportive friends and has determined to make the most out of everything that’s happened.

Now she’s currently raising her child to the best of her ability with Sky’s father being somewhat gone (busy, dead, whatever) and she now knows Kenny’s secret. Scared that she may lose the baby to the same stupid fate as Kenny, she keeps a watchful eye on him. Currently she’s trying to break back into socialization with people but she’s not sure how it will work out. She doesn’t go to parties anymore because she feels she has to prove herself to everyone that she can be a good mother.

How you heard about this RP: I’m Wendy

Describe your characters personality: Tammy is consistently upbeat, though she has a lot of moments of “am I good enough?” She seems very obsessed with the idea that others are watching her, and she absolutely hates being talked about. She tends to shy away from interacting if someone shows they are more intelligent than her (i.e., using big words that she’s not familiar with) or richer (i.e., you invite her over to your mansion). 

Background information: She grew up in a very poor household - almost equivalent to the McCormick’s household. Everyone at school knew it, which made her a bit self-conscious. After she graduated, she knew that people wouldn’t forget that she was the poor girl, but she did go out and get a job at the local KFC in order to move out of her broken home into an apartment complex. Her parents and siblings (two sisters) still live at home in South Park, unlikely to ever leave. She hopes to leave, but realistically, it’s probably not in the cards for her. 

Write up a short intro post: Hi, my name is Tammy. Right now I work at the KFC in South Park, but I hope one day to go to a big city and work in the fashion industry. I know it’s aiming high for someone who can barely afford their apartment, but I know I can do it. Aim for the stars!

    How you heard about this RP: It’s a-me!  Regan!

    Describe your characters personality:
    Ever since his first foray into public school, Mark has maintained a natural intellectual curiosity, as well as a constant curiosity about nearly everything else in the world.  Clever and independent, he has a tendancy to stick his nose into just about everything that comes his way.  Despite his typical friendliness however, he does have a stubborn streak, and has no problem loudly making his opinion known.

    Background Information:
    Having already received his college acceptance letters, Mark is currently suffering from severe Senioritis, thanks in part to a greet-and-mingle weekend at his school of choice.  Now more than ever, he occasionally butts heads with his father over what is considered a responsible lifestyle for a young adult - adding to his list of reasons as to why he can’t wait to leave home and South Park.  In his opinion, what he gets up to on the weekends shouldn’t matter since he is perfectly capable of balancing honor roll grades and his newfound love of discussing philosophy over three rounds of beer.  He is also still extremely protective of his sister Rebecca, occasionally to an annoying extent.

    So after seeing Rebecca on this website 24/7 I figured I should get one for myself just so that I can check up on her all the time.  (Just kidding… or am I?)  It seems pretty interesting.  So hi to everyone who’s been kind enough to friend me so far.  Also, is there a correct way to reply to replies?  I’m not stupid guys, seriously, but I can’t figure this out at all and the help page is pretty unhelpful.  I’ve also browsed at least three different forums with horrible midi’s playing that were even more unhelpful so please, I’m begging you.  Don’t force me to subject myself to more terrible bands crying about crawling in their skins or what the heck ever.

How you heard about this RP: I found it. :D

Describe your characters personality:
Just a wee bit crazy. Actually, that would be putting it lightly. In fact this young man is almost completely off his rocker, as expected from an individual who just so happens to be given the birth name “Tweek”.
When not suffering from a panic attack, Tweek is generally very timid, doe-eyed, and tries to avoid most social situations. When his nerves do act up you can find him either taking solace in his thermos of coffee or chain-smoking cigarettes behind the school. Though heavily medicated at this point of his life and having been in and out of various rehabilitation institutions, Tweek stills twitches, trembles and tends to have random outbursts when he feels like he’s under a lot of pressure. Still, Tweek Tweak is extremely friendly when that barrier is breached and will do pretty much anything for anyone he considers to be a friend.

Background Information:
Tweek had never been a “normal” child. While young, he had always been extremely hyperactive and had zero attention span. What did his parents decide was the best course of action? Have him drink coffee, never directly answer any questions, ignore him, and instigate his paranoia. In turn, his mental health decreased at a much sharper rate. Everyone simply thought that he had ADHD but there was more. Did his parents ever do anything about it? Not until Tweek jumped out the window of his bedroom to escape from the “gnomes” that dwelled in his room. He had insisted it was his only means of escape as he sat, crying hysterical, in the snow with a broken arm and cuts all across his face and arms. It was from there on out that he first began receiving treatment for schizophrenia.
Over the years he has been on and off a variety of medications, in and out of hospitals, and through the journey has finally come to grasp some semblance of normalcy. Tweek still frequents both a psychiatrist and a therapist. Through this all, the only thing his parents care about is that he takes his medicine, goes to school, and helps out at their coffee shop.

Not really sure why I even bothered with this thing in the first place. But Craig said that it would help distract me from… me, I guess. I don’t know. I don’t trust the internet but, this seems okay. Sorta. Just, not exactly good with the writing aspect. My brain doesn’t really handle formulating coherent sentences all that well. Easier then talking face-to-face though… not as much pressure to say the right thing because you can’t take spoken words back, no way to go back in the past and fix things like that, no you are stuck but here I get to just delete anything stupid that I write. I can erase words; take back time. Sorta. I don’t know. I ramble.

How you heard about this RP: Google Search

Describe your characters personality: Very headstrong about her personal beliefs and moral values, and dislikes the following with a passion: lying, cheating, and sluttiness. Extremely intelligent and spends most of her time studying. Most people could refer to her as a “hippie”, because over the years she has been involved in many protests. She can’t stand being told she is wrong when she finds something to be incorrect, so she constantly henpecks the issue until it’s [in her opinion] resolved. 

Background information: Wendy’s parents are married and she has no noticeable disturbing dark secrets in her past. She does put her work first, but she has been known to be a very caring friend and will show up when her presence is needed. The stubbornness that was prominent throughout her childhood has only been nurtured throughout the years so at times she can be intolerable if she disagrees with someone.  

Write up a short intro post: I don’t have time for this but after being nagged I guess I’m going to remake my account. I’m still putting my studying as my top priority though, so don’t get your hopes up. And no, I’m not making this because I’m worried about what people will say about me if I don’t have an account to follow them, so shut up!
